Complex Trauma (Def)

Complex trauma is the compound psychological effect of multiple traumatic events on a child, ranging from Adversarial Energy In the Home, Separation or Divorce, to Sexual Assault and Child Trafficking . These events are often of an invasive, interpersonal nature—and lead to wide-ranging, long-term detrimental health effects , including obesity, anorexia, suicidal ideation, drug and alcohol addiction and pervasive mental health issues.

Chances are,  YOU experienced 1 or more of these Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's), and your parents may have experienced  3 or more.

Inter-Generational Complex Trauma leads to 2 out of every 3 pre-mature deaths, and nobody is talking about it.

DO YOU HAVE AN ACE UP YOUR YOUR SLEEVE?

DOES YOUR CHILD HAVE POCKET ACE'S?

DID YOUR PARENTS HAVE ACES?

An ACE score is a tally of different types of abuse, neglect, and other hallmarks of a rough childhood. According to the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) study, the rougher your childhood, the higher your score is likely to be and the higher your risk for later health problems. You can take the test below:

Were your parents ever separated or divorced?
YES, THIS HAPPENED TO ME, AND IT MAY BE HAPPENING TO MY CHILD.
NO THIS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME, NOR DOES IT HAPPEN IN MY HOME.

Who Does It Effect?

Complex trauma describes both children's exposure to multiple traumatic events—often of an invasive, interpersonal nature—and the wide-ranging, long-term effects of this exposure.

How Can it be Treated?

Complex trauma has a deep impact on the nervous system. By understanding how it develops, you can better understand how to treat it.
